It’s time to get it right… Right?

I came across a quote this week, which I think was attributed to Adam Grant:

“I am not here to be right.

I am here to get it right.”

I really love this quote as it reminds me that it’s okay to keep working on things, to improve myself and my business, my connections with the people around me.

I’m not here to be right. I might have my opinions about things, but the wonderful thing about life is that we all do, and that there is so much to learn from each other. But it can be quite challenging at times to be okay with ‘agreeing to disagree’!

#dialoguecoffee

Last year I came across something amazing, called #dialoguecoffee. In her TED talk, Özlem Cekic - a Danish parliamentarian of Turkish descent and a Muslim woman - explains why she started having conversation with people who sent her hate mail. I’d like to invite you to watch this amazing eye-opening TED talk, and ask yourself if there is someone who you’d like to have a #dialoguecoffee with, or maybe feel a need to to help clear the air.

After all, we are not here to be right, but to get it right. Right?
